At Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages, we want you to leave your adventure with more than just a few snapshots. We aim to immerse you in the destination, giving you a deeper understanding of its people, culture, history—and, of course, its fantastic food!
Our off-the-beaten-path tours focus on cultural immersion, local interactions, and, naturally, savoring mouthwatering local vegan cuisine. Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages is a team of five close friends from four different countries and faiths. We’ve combined our diverse backgrounds and mutual passion for people, animals, veganism, cultures, and history to create one-of-a-kind adventures.
Our guests go beyond simply visiting a country and admiring its sights. They truly immerse themselves in communities, learning about local traditions, customs, and lifestyles, all while enjoying 100% local vegan food. From our humble beginnings with three trips in one country in 2004, we now organize and lead up to 27 vegan cultural adventure tours each year across nine countries: Bhutan, Cambodia, India, Indonesia (Bali, and Sumatra), Laos, Malaysia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
Before founding Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages, our team spent over 15 years coordinating film and media projects across Southeast and South Asia. United by our shared passion for animal rights, veganism, environmentalism, and cultural unity—and drawing on our extensive experience in logistics and coordination—Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages was born.
We work closely with local communities to create immersive stories that our guests “live” for 8 to 16 days. Through these stories, guests gain a deeper understanding of the countries they visit and the people and cultures they encounter. We are passionate about sharing our excitement and love for the countries where our adventures take place—many of which we are proud to call home (India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Nepal). We only create tours in countries where we have lived and worked extensively, allowing us to share firsthand knowledge of the region, its people, their way of life, and of course, the local cuisine.
